Where is High Ridge Park? High Ridge Park is located off of High Ridge Road in Stamford, CT. It is easily accessible from Merritt Pkwy North by taking Exit 35 and continuing straight onto Buxton Farm Road. Make a left onto Turn of River Road and continue straight into High Ridge Park.
From Merritt Pkwy South take Exit 35, make a right onto High Ridge Road, and then a left onto Buxton Farm Road. Make a left onto Turn of River Road and continue straight into High Ridge Park.
Transportation will also be available from Grand Central Station in New York City. More details to come closer to the race.
What is the course like? The course is a regulation 5K (3.1 mile) road race complete with timing. The course will be closed off to all traffic on a private property.
Will parking be available? Yes, there is plenty of parking available in High Ridge Park.
Will roads be closed off? Yes, the road in and out of High Ridge Park will be closed from 9:15am-11am on May 20th during the race. No cars will be allowed to drive around the park during this time. If you arrive during this time, you will be directed to park in the A&P parking lot, just down the road from the park entrance. If you believe you will need to leave the park during this time period, we ask that you park in the A&P parking lot as well.
How do I register? You can register through our online registration site at http://www.active.com/5k-race/stamford-ct/run-or-walk-with-mike-5k-2012
Registration will be available online through May 17th at 11:59pm. After that date, participants will have to register on site on May 20th.
What is included in the registration fee? The registration fee includes a t-shirt, gift bag, pre-race warm-up, and post-race food and festivities.
Is there a fundraising minimum? No, there is no fundraising minimum! However, we suggest everyone spread the word and try and solicit donations from friends and family, employers and co-workers.
Where does my registration fee go? 100% of your registration fee goes to research at Columbia University Medical Center, thanks to generous support and donations from our sponsors.
